Casserole Recipe - Broccoli and Onion Casserole
1 pound fresh broccoli, cut in pieces
3 medium onions, peeled and cut in quarters
4 tablespoons Fryin' Magic, divided
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup milk
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1. Cook broccoli and onions separately until crisp-tender. Drain. Put into a bowl and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons Fryin' Magic; toss.
2. Put cream cheese and garlic powder into a saucepan. Heat over low heat until cheese is softened. Add milk gradually, stirring until smooth. Pour sauce over vegetables and turn into a greased 1-1/2 quart casserole.
3. Mix remaining 2 tablespoons Fryin' Magic, the breadcrumbs, cheese, and melted butter. Sprinkle over mixture in casserole.
4. Bake at 350° F. about 35 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned.
